Hi Nigel,

Excellent article. Been a long time since we've seen each other and its good to see how your dream has come to fruition!

As with martial arts, there are also many other facets of our lives where people are rejected, disempowered and expelled from their environment. We can but look to our recent past with the Xenophobic attacks where thousands of Africans were displaced. African brothers and sisters who, during the Apartheid years, gave us shelter, fed us and fought side by side to overthrow the government of the day - and this is how we repay them.

But like you so eloquently quote Johnny Clegg I'll do likewise... "It's a cruel, crazy, beautiful world". So let us never give up on our ideals and dreams. Never stop believing in ourselves and each other. Always being prepared to make things happen!

My all time favourite song is that of John Lennon - Imagine.

Hi Steve

Thank you for your comment. We look forward to the opportunity to demonstrate the differences to the wider martial arts community. Compared to many we are in a development phase in some ways, but thanks for both the support and the questions that keep us sharp.

Nice post. Good to see a view from your part of the world. And I'm looking forward to seeing how Piper evolves. I'm very interested in what your underlying principles will shake out to be once you've hammered on them a while.
