		<description>Hi Nigel,

Excellent article. Been a long time since we've seen each other and its good to see how your dream has come to fruition!

As with martial arts, there are also many other facets of our lives where people are rejected, disempowered and expelled from their environment. We can but look to our recent past with the Xenophobic attacks where thousands of Africans were displaced. African brothers and sisters who, during the Apartheid years, gave us shelter, fed us and fought side by side to overthrow the government of the day - and this is how we repay them.

But like you so eloquently quote Johnny Clegg I'll do likewise... "It's a cruel, crazy, beautiful world". So let us never give up on our ideals and dreams. Never stop believing in ourselves and each other. Always being prepared to make things happen!

My all time favourite song is that of John Lennon - Imagine.

<description>Look, you have ignorant people in Africa, carribean and America. I live in America and I'm frustrated with my own people but that doesn't mean you guys are 100% on point. I can point out some rediculous crap going on in Africa with Africans killing Africans and so on but being a finger pointer will help nothing. I am an African American (Black Hebrew) in the disapora and whether you agree or not, you or I can't change that. You would serve your purpose better to unite all of our people instead of looking for differences. I'm in the unity game, I hope you join.
Peace

<description>For the most part I definitely aggree with you. In my book "Combat Application Techniques: Principles Of Destruction" I talk abou the term of Sheep and Wolves. Criminals are wolves. I don't agree too much with the "Animal" Mark McYoung. There are no middle line predators. You are either a sheep or a wolf. I do aggree with the fact that criminals are like wolves or any other predator; in that they will always choose the easy meal over the hard one.

I believe everything is cut and dry, Black and white. It's us the people who make the shades of grey in this world. I believe that there is definitely Knife fighting and killing with a knife. I aggree with you that dueling is foolish. We all know that there are pretty much two outcomes when engaged in edged weapon conflict. The morgue and the Hospital. I definitely think you got the right idea that you are spreading; now if we can just get all the rest of those "Zen Budo" Martial Arts types out there to come around; it would all be okay.

Take care,

Andy Curtiss

		<description>Hi,
i know this is late in the game.
I'm from the caribbean and in some ways understand your frustrations with Americans of African descent. I do however feel uncomfortable with your "separation" between black and brown skins (being black skinned myself) as it rankles of the "lighter the better" mentality that i've grown up around. I do not think this is what you were going for but this was my emotional response to what you stated.</description>

<description>Nice way to deliver justice to scumbags. It must have been very difficult to exercise restraint with the axe handle. The justice system here in the USA could learn a few lessons from you guys. Good story.

Best regards,

<description>I chanced upon your website while doing research on Shaka for a story i'm writing. Just so you guys who take the name Shaka for yourselves may know, Shaka is an insult. His real name was Sigidi. The name Shaka was given him because he was an illegitimate child and in those days some people believed that the iShaka beetle could cause womans bellies to swell. So, when his mother, Nandi, became pregnant people said the the beetle made her sick.
thus, everyone that referred to him as Shaka was insulting him.
